I think quite a few people are in your situation as well Bill. Such a shame after all the hard work in spring  :(

We are not under water but things have suffered. Earlier this season I spent a long time putting up posts and wires and then tying in tall pea sticks with this dream of having a bumper crop of peas and Mange tout-the wind, rain and hail has knocked them to the ground

We popped to the plot this morning.  Raspberries are HUGE.  Never had such great raspberries.  The strawbs are suffering from the drenching though.  Must get the old man to the plot to pick them all for me.  Peas and beans are holding their own and growing quickly - both in full flower.  The great thing is, the lettuce which bolt quickly for me as I don't give plants any additional water, are getting really big with solid hearts, even the looser varieties.  Not a flower in site.

went over lotty tonite expecting the worse, but luckily i dont seem to have suffered at all.

Finally decided to brave the rain to go and have a look waht was happening on the plot.
There are a few patches of standing water, but on the paths rather than in the beds.
The courgettes have gone mad, and I picked out first 2 fruit, but there are many little ones that will be ready in a few days. The Parsnips seem to have doubed in size, but they are onlu still v small (planted in May).
The thing that does concern me a little is the onions, the stalks are very yellow, but the onions are still v tiny (planted sets in May), does this mean that they have stopped growing?
