Can any one tell me what i should do about my rhubarb.
it was ok earlier on in the season but now some of the leaves look like they are being eaten or rotting while in the bud, when they emerge they have already got holes in them, the stems are fine and taste alright although not as long as they usually are but the leaves are just made up of the leaf skelleton. it was the same last year as well. It is a well established plant (must be 10 years old) and i'm thinking of splitting it and taking some up the allotment but i dont want to take a diseased plant.
i would be very gratefull for any help

Mine went flop just before the end of the monsoon, long before it normally would. I'm just leaving it now.

Mine has flopped and rotted back. Just gonna leave it till next year & see what happens. Mine are new crowns bought last autumn.

Mine was useless early in the year and I was despairing but suddenly it went mad and I've been cropping it ever since. Yesterday I chopped loads of it and there is still more there  :o

Not sure what happened but I'm not complaining.  Hope yours does the same and suddenly revives!

i ve had loads of rhubarb, ive even made jam and wine this year, not tasted it yet as it wont be ready till xmas, and last year i even got flowers for the first time, so its a healthy plant and it is still bulbing, but i just cant work out whats attaking the leaves pest or disease
but thamks for your comments
its a very unusual year this year
