Probably Cabbage moth caterpillars they seem to be very hardy.

Hi Tim just spotted this post after  I posted about my cabbage white problem. Seems the wintersare just getting warmer. Have only had 2 days frost all winter.
Insanity takes it's toll....................please have the correct change.

I always get some bright green small caterpillars (3/4 inch) which cocoon themselves between
two leaves and come out to feed.

I have either been picking them out or squidging between the leaves.
What's the easiest way of dealing with them?
A spray perhaps?

we have had plenty of frosts here but still have bright green caterpillars on some plants cheeky monkeys

What sort of plants are the caterpillars on? The appropriate response really depends on how much damage they're doing. Sometimes you can get so many they strip a plant, but mostly they don't do much harm at all.

they finished off my pak choi, now on my cabbages  :'(
