Lotus maculatus or Parrot's beak. Lovely plant in a basket. ;)

These are mine from previous years.

I won't start making mine up till mid-late May.

I do a few each year, will get them planted up soon so they get a good start !
As we do baskets of fuchsias for showing they  are already planted up apart from the middle plant which goes in later so it makes an even basket :)
Will be going to get some 'tot' pots this weekend and they will go in the baskets, must admit i love blue vein surfina petunias the smell is wonderful :)

Why hasn't any one suggested tumbling cherry tomatoes or 'everlasting strawberries?

Amazin

That's what I've done in previous years. This year I'll be trying micro toms, half pint peas and little rainbow chillies with nasturtiums and mini sweet peas. Should look... er... interesting

I did tumblers with thyme and marigolds last year for us, worked a treat  ;D

Yours are so lushly vibrant, Tee Gee. The prettiest I've ever seen. It makes me want to try hanging baskets again but they dry out so quickly here even with the moisture retention granules. There is nothing as lovely as those you've grown and window boxes bursting with blooms. Very inspirational seeing what others do on this forum.

Thanks Emagggie - i'll be trying to track it down! do you know if it can be grown from seed?

Emagggie

I've had a quick flick and can't find seeds, but our local nursery always has plants at basket time. Perhaps yours will too. Good luck with the search.
P.S. It seems 'parrots beak' is also a name for another plant (tropical)
