I'm kind of new to this composting lark and was just wondering if weeds like dandilions etc are ok to add into the mix?

I don't want to end up creating a mixture likely to give birth to a million weeds when I put it on the soil...

stick 'em in a bag with a couple of holes in until they die then add them to the compost or leave them on a path to dry out, according to bob flowerdew..I'd be a bit worried I wouldn't leave them long enough..we put them in with the nettle mix, after washing the soil off, makes lovely feed  ;D

The weeds must have no seed or flower heads, otherwise it is OK to put them in.

I don't put in the hardy perennials.
