Carrots under cloche

I have put down some cloches to heat the soil for carrots and turnips. These are home made and consist of a sheet of clear plastic over wire hoops.
Should I sow carrots under the plastic cloche or replace the plastic with enviromesh (which I would do later if I started with plastic)? My concern relates to the high humidity that might be trapped under the plastic which might cause mould or something.
Has anyone ever measured the temperature increase under environment? Does it have any insulating property?

Thanks

we're growing carrots under plastic over hoops, they're doing really well, mind you, it's not air tight so it doesn't get too humid..later on, we'll replace the plastic with fleece to stop the carrot fly  :)

;D ;D ;D@Goodlife!! I felt sorry for you, then I read your post again ;)

I have lots of things a bit like your carrots ::)

I did sow carrots under a cloche of corrugated plastic, it stayed on for about 7 weeks. When they germinated I lifted one side through the day/back  down at night. I only put it on now if there is a frost forecast overnight. Every night at the moment!

I will be fleecing this weekend....................need to buy some more ;)
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.
