I have just been looking in the RHS book and can't find silvery marks on Toms, can you describe a bit more? :)

And what do the flies look like?

gunnerbee

little silvery flies!!! the marks look white from afar but when you get close they have a silvery colour to to them?

betula

Are they in a pattern like a mosaic?or Random.

The flies could be whitefly. You could introduce some Biological control into the greenhouse.
.

The only silver marks I can find apply to fruit trees so I am stumped.

Hope an expert comes along soon :)
