Well, we still have the supply from his field mates, the biggest pity was that he was 33 and we'd had him since he was a year old :'(

I found out about the private allotments, they are owned by the local housing association, and the waiting list is "closed".

It`s sad you have to wait-I had to wait about a year for a half plot in the mid/late 70`s-come the mid 80`s I could have taken loads-I settled for 6 :)

We moved in the 90`s and there isn`t an allotment for miles -good job I have a decent sized garden.

PS I did ask the Epiphany over on another site if she was thinking about taking up gardening-and it was a no-it`s not a common cyber name

Hi and welcome from me too Epiphany, Its great you have got your name down, though its a long list. I have heard that someone here rents waste land from someone privatly. Is there any chance you could do the same ?

Its just another option to look at ;)
