sweetcorn problems

Ive planted a load of sweetcorn which ive raised in small pots and transplanted them.  However a lot of them the leaves on one or two of the "leaves" have dried and gone grey , so ive trimed them back to the green part.  Will they re-grow or are they rubbish now?.  Ive now idea what caused it. watered them in well etc

Probably a cold wind... can be quite sensitive when small a bit of Fleece around them often helps...
