Useful willow bundles at Ikea

Ikea are selling large bundles of 180 cm long laquered willow, in the SMYCKA range  for 7.99.  haven't counted them but there must be at least 50 withies in each bundle and they come in dark brown and "natural". Meant for decoration, but untied, I have been using them to make wigwams/climbing frames.

Sounds a tad expensive to me... but cheaper than bamboo canes? What have they used as laquer?

Yes, I think cheaper than canes. Hadn't thought about the laquer :-X
