Book Clubs

Does anybody here belong to a book club?  I'm thinking I'd like to join one.  I've just re-joined my local library after about twenty years (I buy and re-sell most of what I read) and they have a board up for one but I'm a bit confused, as they seem to pin up the name of a book for the month and then people post their responses onto a pin board for others to read.  I want to join an actual get together book club.  Anyway, some of the book choices I've seen pinned up look a bit daunting, I'm not really a fire and brimstone kind of reader, lol.

Just enquiring as to other experiences.

I have heard of Book clubs where people go to each others homes and talk about a chosen book .

It turns me off as if the chosen book is something I do not fancy reading I do not see the point .

Maybe you should start your own club if you want to do it that way.An advert in the Library or shop window   ;D
