Wowzers Mimi.  You all look fab, and what a very handsome couple the bride and groom are!  He is obviously in the forces.....as I have no idea, enlighten this dimbo bimbo please.  ;D

As for your mum, I know I shouldn't have, but I laughed out loud!  That is what your parents are for, to show you up, make you hold your head and go, 'OH NO!'.  Fortunately at my wedding, nothing like that happened...well...the midwife arrived to take my blood pressure as I was almost 9 months gone!  But at my sisters wedding, bless him, my old dad got absolutely legless, made a super speech, said all the right things, got into the cab with his mother-in-law (my nan), smiled, and proceeded to throw up all over her!  He slept thru the reception, and most of the next day.  Bless his cotten socks!  All is forgiven dad.

Glad you had a great day, the sun shone and you all look so gorgeous!  Wish your mum well from us.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Sorry Mimi but I can't help it - A broken leg, helicopter then chickenpox!!! Now that's a wedding no-one will forget in a hurry. Really unusual photographs for the album too, most origional.  :P

You all look absolutely lovely and the weather seems to have been kind to you.

Poor bride I hope she feels better soon and that her new husband doesn't catch the virus. Keeping my fingers crossed that the honeymoon can be reinstated soon for them.

Thanks for sharing the big day with us.

Mimi, the most original wedding!!!
You all look stunning (agree there is nothing like a man in uniform, my OH too!).
and, well, you can't plan for every eventuality... what a story, what a day!

Congrats to all, and Happy Days,

CL  ;D

Mimi

Its OK Eileen, we can laugh about it now but at the time it was not nice at all.  Poor mum was a brick and even had a dance at her grandaughters wedding(supported by crutches and a lot of painkillers and vodka)  She is a total brick and was so very brave.  Unfortunatley there was only room for her in the helicopter because there was a queue of guys dying to get up in a helicopter.  One of the guests (airforce) even knew the pilot.  Such a great day... My youngest daughter says that the only way that she can top her sisters wedding is to arrange a 'driveby shooting' ;D ;) ;D

Stunning! If you sent it as a script for a TV play they would turn it down. Glad everything else went well though. But we cannot see you under the hat!
Gardening is the great leveller.

Mimi, you like absolutely super in your outfit, so pleased you chose the 'hat'. but my what a day.  Your poor mum after what has been going on in her life recently I think is a big shame, but my she has guts.  A day to remember, you got the sunshine, but you also got the drama.  Sorry to here about the Bride though, thats a shame.  Thanks for sharing the photos, but I must admit though I did laugh as well.
:D

Mimi you look lovely and the bride is stunning. I love her flowers, my favorite. Sorry to hear about your Mum, but what a trooper coming back to join the party. And what bad luck getting chickenpox! Hope they will take their honeymoon at a later date. Thanks for sharing the photos, must be the most eventfull wedding I have ever heard of  ;D, one not to be forgotten.

Beautiful bride and Mother of the bride of course! Have to say I gawped at the photos and thought this is a wind up when I saw the ambulance, then the helicopter!
Your poor Mum, what an eventful day for you all, one that will be looked back on with great amusement for years, I am sure!
Must be lucky to have grandmother "break a leg" at your wedding!

Well Mimi - you certainly don't do things by halves do you - what a day :o  Your poor Mum - what a trooper to come back and join in the reception........and the poor bride, that really was good timing wasn't it.

Your daughter looks gorgeous - I love the dress and the bouquet.  Your outfit is beautiful, especially 'the hat'  :)

Do hope the chickenpox clears soon and the honeymoon can go ahead.  So glad you had a lovely day, despite the hiccups :-\ :)
Happy gardening all...........Pat

Wicker

they do say "The best laid plans....." but that really takes the biscuit, Mimi!  Obviously a good sense of humour runs thru your family and just as well, some people might have gone all tragic abut the upsets but with a Nan as great as that your daughter was bound to see the funny side - and so have we all.  thanks for the laugh and for sharing the lovely pics.

Wow Mimi - some day you had, you will not forget that in a hurry. Glad you all made it one way or another - you all looked lovely, even with the extra accessories. I'm now convinced I need to take out an insurance policy to cover my daughter's wedding next May.
Granny is still your best friend !
