My new coop(inc pics)

As my chicks are getting very big now, i had to find a place for them to stay till they get even bigger.
I was gona buy one, but i didnt like the size of the house i saw. so i decided to make one.
so i ordered the wood and weldmesh which all came today.

heres what i done since 4 o'clock today.

that looks really professional, Patrick, how many are going in there ?

This is going to be used for the little baby chicks till they are big enough to go up the allotment and it will also be used for sick and broody chickens.

i am going to be hatching all the time so its a good place to house them in between the brooder and adult coop.

Looking good - how did you weatherproof your plywood though, mine split in the winter.

its marine ply, i used a water repelent from B&q which can be used on bricks, breeze block and wood. it should hold up for winter if not i will review the design. but it should work.
