Asthma and bedding

Not an allotment top tip but good none the less.  :)

If you have asthma and/or night time breathing problems then to kill dust mites in your bedding put the bedding, quilt and pillows etc, in a large bin sack and freeze them for 3 days.
This will kill the dust mites and help. :)

OK if you have a large freezer and a bit chilly uncomfortable for the 3 days without bedding!  But a very good idea!

What do you do with all the frozen allotment produce in your freezer while you're doing this then? :)

just to add a little bit to this one
you can get great plastic air tight bags, suck out the air with your hoover then freeze the bedding it takes up less space in the freezer

And those bags are good for storing stuff as well  :) :) :)
