You know you're old, when???

You know you are old when:

You buy a lightweight vacuum cleaner and still find it hard to carry up stairs.

You find the clothes that suit you are only to be found in charity shops.

You think the coat you have had for over 10 years is still fashionable.

You only buy second class stamps and post birthday cards early in case you forget.

You never get money in birthday cards, or presents and don't care.

You buy a mobile phone and leave it in a drawer as you are not sure how to use it.

You find the short walk to the shops has suddenly became much longer.

You talk to the cats more than your husband.

You never answer the phone on a Saturday night in case you are needed for emergency babysitting.

You no longer think you are going to win the lottery or premium bonds.

You become anxious when your grandchildren go too high on the swings, swim underwater or ride fast on bikes.

Your idea of excitement is a good book and an early night.  Or even more exciting a brand new jigsaw puzzle.
