I hae a pjygelius (cape figwort) which used to be my favourite plant but has now gone rampant and grown up through paving and behind some gas pipes next to a wall. What is the best way to kill it off as we can't get at it to dig it up? We've lifted the flagstones but obviously can't move the pipes!

Napalm would be out of order as well.... near a gas pipe!  ;D

I like Amcide... drill holes into the stump vertically and half fill with Amcide, works best when the plant is "fresh"...

There isn't really a stump, just lots of stems, up to about 1/2 inch wide. We've chopped them down to ground level but need to make sure they don't shoot up again!

Can you peel back enough bark to get some between.... it works best in contact with the growing wood...  :-\
