Japanese maple

These pictures were taken on 6 November, a day or two before the leaves fell. I have never seen the acer palmatum quite such a bright red before.[attachment=1][attachment=2]

Just beautiful, Hopalong.  My Acer is a baby but I too was amazed by the colour this year.  In fact, I think it's been a fabulous autumn for colour all round.   :)
