A very kind A4Aer sent me a packet of Cherokee Trail of Tears bean seeds this week.  It arrived this morning, except that the envelope was empty.  On closer inspection the outer envelope was cleanly cut down one side and the bottom of the seed packet inside had been neatly slit.  I've reported it to Royal Mail who are taking it seriously but it's worth being aware that they employ lots of temps/casuals at this time of year and there may be the odd rotten apple.

PS I know it's not my own postie, he's delivered here for more than 20 years and I trust him completely.

I wonder if who took them realised what they were.......? ::)
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I know, just shows there are addicts out there prepared to sink to any depths for a fix!  ;D  ;D

Doubt if they knew what they were getting - would have felt like beads or something similar.  Maybe they thought jewellery?  In which case I hope they are royally P'd off!

Hunt them down.....   find them.......   To the gallows ;D ;D

Off with their heads  :o :o :o :o :o

We had a fake dog poo once, it was fun occasionally, especially if we had visitors with dogs.  My dad wanted to borrow it to play a trick on his neighbours in the sheltered accommodation where he lived, so I posted it to him, a small parcel, didn't weigh much, and just had a piece of paper in it saying "have fun!".  It never arrived. I've often wondered what the person who eventually got the package (stolen, misdelivered or whatever) must have thought.

This happened to me just a few weeks ago. One kind A4A member send me 30 seeds. The envelope arrived, torn and in a post office plastic bag which read.

As it was just 26 seeds missing I didn't want to waste mine or their time as I thought they would never be found anyway.  :-\

:) Net It Or You Won't Get It  :)

I read a story in the paper recently about a student who missed a place at Cambridge Uni because the postie didn't deliver the post but stored it at his house. The guy had gone elsewhere to Uni not realising he'd been offered a place at Cambridge until the mail was discovered 5 years later.

If I'd thought it was accidental, I wouldn't have bothered either.  But both the outer and inner envelopes had been very neatly cut.  I didn't even notice the cut until I'd opened the envelope along the top and realised it was empty.  I think theft, regardless of value, should be reported  as there will probably be others.

If you still want some Ceres I've got plenty of saved ToT...  :)
