I'm trying a few different squash and I am also growing Toms Parsnips beans and mange tout from my own saved seed.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

No Secret Barnowl, they just like it hot. Grew them in the big schools greenhouse... further from the glass, less cold draughts...  :-\

Similar for the Sweet Potatoes Carlseawolf...  :)

I'm going to try ...... and chinese cabbage for the 1st time.

grew chinese cabbage last year and got some great heads but just when i thought the slugs were controlled i found there was a lot of cabbage white catterpillars inside the head, so i would net them as a precaution.

but then again the cabbage white i think was quite bad last year in 2007 they were barely a blip on my pest radar last year they attacked everything brassicus and other plant types as well :o :-X.

I'm going to try aubergines AGAIN this year. I have tried the past two years but haven't got anywhere with them. It seems quite a few people are trying this for the first time this year, it'll be interesting to see how we all get on.

Also going to try Kohlrabi and raspberries.

And..........all in containers  ;D

!066, I am told that curry leaf plants like a very sandy soil - if I can get hold of one, I'm going to try growing it too.

First time with sweet potato for me - they are already taking over the kitchen windowsill!
