There is a heap of old manure on my plot according to the old chap next door it has been there for about 3-4 years or possibly longer.  It is covered in good old couch.  If I get rid of the couch is it still ok/worth using?

I need to put some on my rhubarb apparently - if not could I put blood fish and bone on it to feed it and the potato bed?

Any advice appreciated

If it's that old it should be fine.  Just make sure you get rid of all the couch grass roots.

Get it thrown all over - except where your roots are going...

Bean treches
Potaoes
Punkins etc
Fruits

All good, all helps....

Just 'skim' of the top layer!  ;D
