Thanks for the advice and welcome Emma, budgie, cleo.

Got my Lottie today. Its massive ! I am so excited, it has a small shed, really good soil (its been empty for 5 years) and it has just been rotavated. I think I will start this week by clearing out the shed. Got to get my priorities right, must have somewhere to make a cup of tea. Then I think I will clear a bit of the rubble and a bit of junk from the end near the shed.

There were 2 plots vacant and I nearly took them both, but I suppose thats just silly cos I have never done anything like this before. I am just dying to grow something but dont know where to start, even though I have read most of the posts on this forum. I think its just excitement getting the better of me. Have I got lottie fever now ( i never thought i could be this excited over 30ft of muck LOL).

It sounds like I am very lucky to have got a shed. And it was very quick me getting the lottie. I only applied this week just to try and get my name down on the waiting list. I had heard that the waiting list was quite long, and the allotments officer informed me there were 2 going in my area. How lucky was that?

Well I am dying to get started but it is dark when i get home from work, hopefully I will get down at the weekend.
