Does anyone know what moth/butterfly this turns into?
It has a smooth brown skin with a light brown stripe running down its length on the sides and two sets of dark/black markings on it's rear.

I have found a couple tucked up inside my cauliflowers.
This site list loads of caterpillars but no images show on my pc :( does it work for anyone else?

Most of the sites i have found only show the moths/butterflies not the caterpillars. I know its not a Hawk Moth.

i found two of these yesterday while tidying up some autumn leaves.

the sites pics aren't working for me either, I'll go do a quick google and see what i find.

i believe its the larvae of the cabbage moth, another attaker of the brasicus family (like there aren't enough already ::))

I don't feel so bad, about having squished them, whenever I've found them now...  ::)

yes neither do i, there is a robin pair with a full brood at the moment and put in a tray the two caterpillars and some wireworms that i foud yesterday and left it close to the nest, all i can say is they didn't last long ;D.
