Wicker

Have never tried, Tim.  Always take the damaged (including the "forked") ones home and use them first - but if its slight maybe keep them separate ? :-\
Equality isn't everyone being the same, equality is recognising that being different is normal.

They will depending on the type/extent of damage. Though they do not keep as well and I keep them seperate and use them first. I also have a look through them from time to time to throw out any iffy looking ones.

Ones that have been munched only on the surface normally keep better than those where the slugh has burrowed into the main spud.

Thanks. We'll see! With hindsight, I reckon that I should have risked blight transfer & lifted them earlier. Since the haulms were cut 3 weeks ago, the slugs have really enjoyed life!

But with about 1cwt of spuds, averaging over 1lb apiece, it's difficult to do the usual thing. And, of course, you can't tell what's what until they are all thoroughly washed. Fingers crossed - Tim
