calabrese sowing time

Hi all, :D
          Help & advice needed on when to sow calabrese, Dobies catalogue says that corvet Fi should be sown April / May for cropping Oct/Nov, In the Telegraph gardening
supplement it says to sow them now & plant out in 5/6 weeks for cropping in April /May ??? Who is right ???

Since there are at least 10 types of 'calabrese' - I would follow the supplier's recommendation? = Tim

Tim is correct-buy a couple of types and sow in sucession-should last you through early summer/Autumn.

Some calabrese can be sown in oct/nov for planting out March or so, for an early crop. Just found the Marshalls autumn catalogue for this year which has Corvet in - says to sow early Septmeber to mature fromMay onwards.

Re-reading for the umpteenth time the organic gardening catalogue which says taht calabrese can also be sown in cold tunnel/glass in February or Autumn.
