Hi there. Just got back from me hols and immediately went to check the allotment. Wonderfully surprised to see my one remaining cauliflower has developed a head, perhaps 4 inches diameter, and looking very tasty. Thing is I don't know when I should harvest it - is it likely to grow more, or should I whip it out now before something nasty comes along and eats it before I do?

Thanks

David

If in doubt eat it before someone/thing else does...  :-X

Eat, eat, eat, I left some a little longer last year and they went all hard and horrid, I pick mine when they are big enough for a meal for two.      ;D ;D ;D

And I made the mistake of listening to my OH, who reckoned they should stay in the ground a bit longer - a week later they had separated out and weren't half as nice  :-X  Memo to self ingnore OH's gardening advice  ::)

Thanks folks. Wish a few more of them had been successful so I could test it out. Perhaps next year! Will pick this one now...
