Hosepipe not long enough?

I do not have an allotment but a very large garden, which I have made half into  raised beds for my vegtables, My hose pipe although long was a nightmare to roll up. So my brother run a piece of hose pipe along the back of my garden behind the shrubs and trees and screwed it onto the fence post complete with an outside tap. I have a tap outside the kitchen and two separate hoes connections, one for the top of the garden and one for the bottom I just plug in which ever one I want.No great long hose to wing up and it is so simple to use.

Good idea?

Not allowed hoses on our allotment so I get very long arms at certain times of the year ;D
