I would not suggest to grow the determinate as a cordon, you will lose a lot of fruit  as it won't grow much taller than 3 feet and if you prune of too much you won't have a lot leftI didn't find it to be a big sprawling plant not at all like the semi determinate one you have, XX Jeannine
