I am developing a new online Journal for vegetable growers and looking for some willing people to test it as it is developed. On completion the testers will receive 2 years free subscription to the system plus the ebook I have written to go with it.  A free copy of the download versions of both my existing softwares will also be given at the end of the process (assuming you stick with it ;D).

If you would like to play a part in the development and/or find out more, please contact me via a PM. By the way I am not looking for IT experts, but 'everyday' users.

Thanks

Rob

No problem - its good if the system can be tested with all sizes of users (their veg plot size that is)!
I will send you a PM.

Thanks
Rob

What does it actually do? I'm happy to help, but would like some more info before I committed myself to it
Thanks

I am not very good a keeping a journal, so might just do it on the computer.

Not an IT whizz but used them a lot at work.  But very vociferous about what I like and dislike about software.

The 'journal' allows you to record just about everything you do in your veg garden/allotment/smallholding and builds up year after year into a complete record. Its a bit like the Vegetable Gardeners Almanac (only better!) and online.
It includes a database of over 190+ crops and also incorporates my rotation system based up single beds growing crops continuously throughout the year.

Substantial bits of it are up and running already - you would be given a login id and can start using it straight away to tell me how useful/useless you think it is and what bits could be improved, etc.

Its up to you how much time/effort you put into the testing/feedback - I would only ask that you give me some feedback on each section of the system in order to 'qualify' for the software at the end of the trials.

Constructive criticism is most welcome - but please word it gently ;)

Does that help?

ARV

I'll give it a go. I've only really been growing stuff for the past year in a small garden, but could do with a method of keeping track of things.

Clayhithe

Good gardening!

Dear all,

I was not going to accept any more takers after Friday - but as the last three people (Squash64,Clayhithe and ARV) asked on Friday they can be the last ones ;D

Squash64, Clayhithe and ARV,  if you can think up a suitable username and password and then PM them to me along with a contact email I can set you up a trial login.

I am away the rest of today and sunday but will have them set up on monday.

Thanks to all those who have shown interest - hopefully the tried and tested system will be available in the early New Year...
