A mystery delivery

My son's girlfriend arrived home from work yesterday mid-day to find they'd had a mystery delivery onto their driveway of around 20 bags of cement, two large cubic metre bags of sand and ballast, lots of timber, lead flashing strips and more - no delivery note or anything through the door or anything to identify to a company.  Its obviously been delivered to the wrong address, she asked the neighbours (they live in a country lane) but no one had seen anything.  She phoned local builders merchants to see if they'd left the materials at the wrong address, but no success.  They've reported the delivery to the police (in case anyone expecting a delivery reports their materials have been stolen).   Has anyone any ideas on how to try to find who delivered this load and to get it re-united with its rightful owner?

I'm sure the rightful owners will be onto their building merchant soon asking where their order is and all will be resolved.  The only thing I can suggest in the meantime is perhaps the local radio station, local paper or a notice in the newsagent/post office/community notice board.

It could have been worse Lavenderlux, it could have been 20 tons of manure or even:

I think I'd snare some of the timber, only as a storage charge.     ;)   ;D ;D ;D

The building materials have been re-united with their rightful owner.  The properties in the country lane where by son lives all have names but some of the older cottages also have a number;  my son's cottage is number 9 and this (as well as the house name) is displayed.  The delivery should have gone to a property which only has a name, but the owners (probably thinking they were being helpful) told the company that it was the ninth property in the lane - it was but it wasn't 'number 9'.
