I only seem to be able to get a crop outside in dry summers, so I can't criticise! There are resistant species, but getting toms bigger than cherry size which retain the resistance is a breeders' nightmare. I don't know why they keep recommending Gardeners' Delight though, there are plenty of better varieties.

I have never been able to grow them outside because of my location so i cant say anything also, I agree there is a lot of other tomatoes with better flavor than Gardeners delight, Guess he hast tried black Russian.

Only shocked that GW recommends gardeners delight. Grew these the first year I ever grew toms. Not since though-much better varieties found here on A4A.

I always grow gardeners delight because we like the taste and they do well in our conditions . Surely we all have differen tastes and it is what each person likes. I have tried plenty of others but still come back to GD
