I'm going to do some serious sowing and planting this weekend, but was wondering whether I should just plant my early spuds or plant my maincrop ones at the same time.

Thanks,

Graeme.

Most people plant earlies around now, second earlies in early-mid April and maincrop ones mid-late April.
The approximate time between planting and harvesting varies from around 13 weeks for earlies to 22 weeks for maincrop varieties.

If you plant earlies, second earlies, mains and lates all at he same time you will definitely get a long spread of tates over the late summer and early autumn.

I plant Kestrel, Rocket, Picasso and Cara, over a 3 weekends around march time, depending on weather.
Nothing is ever as it seems. With appropriate equations I can prove this.
