Hi

Thought i would share as I'm so excited that my big brother is back from Afghanistan and will be home later on today  ;D. Have been so worried this time around and happy he is home safe and sound. We will be having a second Christmas day next weekend because he's been over there for 6 months and missed out on his fave Christmas dinner. Then present opening time. My eldest Thomas is very attached to his uncle and has been sending him letters telling him all about whats going on. I haven't told him yet that Ashley is home today cant wait to see his face he's missed him so much.

Thanks everyone

I will pass on the messages. You would think we would be use to it now he's been in Army for 14 years this is his second tour of Afghan not to mention various tours else where. He thinks we are funny worrying about him as he's 32  ;D. Alot of the younger lads have nick named him Dad  ;D ;D

I am very proud of him. Me and my partner served for a couple of years as medics but he's planning on doing the full 22 years.

Mum and dad are taking him to Turkey for a well earned holiday. He said as long as there's a sea view a beach and a bar he will be happy.  ;D Will probably be pickled after a couple  :P

I am really happy for you, it must be such a worrying time when he is in a war zone.

I have a brother whom I love like mad and he has never understood that when he was doing something out of the ordinary that I was worried about him.

Enjoy your Chrismas and happy holiday, he deserves it.  I may not live in the UK but I am very proud of our Armed Services.
