See if your drive needs de-fragmenting....

My Computer > C: > Right Click - Properties > Tools > Defragmnt Now
If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!

that was the experience I had when I had to resurrect a very old PC to use a couple of years ago. It just couldn't cope with the amount of graphics etc on web pages and would grind to a halt after using it for 10 mins or so. The only solution was to restart the PC. Mind you it was very old 233 Mhz processor for a start and miniscule RAM. Downloadiong files was no problem though at broadband speed

Can you upgrade your RAM for instance?

The MOBO on this PC is nearly 10 years old also, and it's fine, though it was very highly specified for it's time. Crazy though - the processors cost me £3 each on ebay  :D

I cleaned up the disk and also defrag the disk it took a lot of rubbish off but the problem still us there Thanks for the hint about upgrading the ram I`ll give it a try

You could try emptying the Internet history, as this collects a lot of un-needed information when you visist a web page.
