90 tomato plants across 24 varieties (I blame the tomato swap for that BTW :D).... one 4.5 x2 metre polytunnel..... so I'll get one of each plant in there adn one of each outdoors and a few of varieties I really want (Black Krim, San Marzano, Korol Gigantov, Kirschklumpen, Black Cherry under the carport-thingy over the patio..... then what?.... And where do I put the 30 odd pepper plants and 40 chillis?.... and aubergines

I dont have a poly tunnel!  Wish I had your problems   ;D

My window sill and spare room looks like Kew Gardens and I am constantly juggling Chillis, Peppers and toms with everything else that cant go out yet..
Got a little plastic hexagonal green house with suffices for now but why oh why did I agree to go on holiday in May!
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!

Oops too..I have gone over board this year too..
Normally I have one little greenhouse where I only grow my chillies and peppers now this have to be planted with toms too as big greenhouse will be solid...
Now chillies and peppers have go in buckets and somewhere on paths in greenhouse..and to get by...oh well that is another story.. ::)..maybe I just do the weeding and watering from the door.. ;D

Mortality

Yup too many tomato and pepper plants.....ran out of pots....ran out of compost...not run out of room yet ( The advantage of being dumped by my husband is, I can put em where I like ) ;D
Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.

Nice one, luv. That's called "Every cloud having a silver lining" :D
Mine is grumbling already and I haven't told him about the pumpkins yet, lol
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Time to get another Polytunnel...
I can see space being a real problem this year, not having access to the "big" greenhouse for the overspill.....  :-[

After giving in last year and putting things outside in coldframes, losing them and then to cap it all storing winter squash in the shed and having it rot.....this year OH will just have to put up and shut up with stuff on windowsills and in conservatory over winter. Looks pretty anyway IMHO! ;D

Suzanne

Oh.........sorry for rant!  ::)

saddad

Rant away we don't mind...  ;D

Right... if I get the fleece and one of the big brassica frames from the Oxford allotment then I can keep a few more under cover later on and have them outdoors with a fleece roof or similar (should help with b;light... looks like the Roma overheated (there were three of them in a single 40-drop module and they were at the three true leaf stage) today, or rather dehydrated their module.... I will pot on tomorrow, they might recover..... got San Marzano anyway so not stuck for plum toms....

"Looks like we need a bigger" (boat) "greenhouse"....   ;D

Mrs Gumboot

Having had better germination than expected I've taken to bullying relatives into taking more! "Oh, you won't get many of that, have a few more". They'll thank me when the produce comes  ;D

I'm trying to be good this year and not sow too many. BUT I have so many varietes that I MUST try!! And I haven't even started on the french beans........

Good to know I've got good company on this one  :D

Was potting on my toms, chillies, peppers and courgettes, hoping hubbie did not hear me muttering where the hell am i going to put them, i am  crossing fingers that it will be a good summer and the allotment might end up having pots strewn all over the pathways and hubbie jumping up an down at me in not a good way  ::)
