Sideshoots on peppers

Can someone remind me, should I take out the sideshoots on peppers and chillies? And (when) should i pinch out the tops?

I never pinch out side shoots on my peppers and chillies and I never pinch out the tops!
I always get loads of chillis and peppers. I just let them do their own thing.

Good thread re: growing peppers a bit lower down on the forum.

Like the Duke, I leave my well alone and got some good results.  :)
