It is sad to read the report from the SWT that the famale osprey at Loch of the Lowes, Nr Dunkeld is dying.  Apparently she turned ill yesterday and is slowly dying.   She has been a Star at the Loch of the Lowes turning up for 20 Seasons and rearing a record number of chicks.  Shame.   I was planning to visit this week but think I will stay away.  Do hope the male manages to continue feeding the chicks which have still not fledged.

She is not dead yet.   She swooped down for a few sips of water around tea time tonight, so who knows she may recover but they are not being too hopeful.  She has been a great favourite and hopefully her end is not near just yet.
