My cucumber plant has what looks like cob webs on it, is the plant ok, or should I throw it away? Shame the cucumbers were really nice!

Sounds like red spider mite to me.  Are they in a greenhouse or outside?

they are in the greenhouse.

Okay.  No need to throw the plant away but I would suggest that you mist the leaves (both top and underside) with tepid water at least once a day when it is not in direct sunlight.  That'll get rid of the red spiders.  Then pick off and bin any badly discoloured leaves and (if you are not already doing so) give the plant a regular dose of tomato feed.

Good luck.   :)

Spider mite... not humid enough and you might want to get some biological controls... IIRC it'sd Encarsia formosa, a tiny wasp thingy ......
