Interesting  - I have heard of this before, but have never done it.
Not sure that I would stir it for 20 mins though ;D

Bugloss2009

she doesn't say whether you have to stir it clockwise or anti-clockwise........... :)

I have steeped marestail in water once.....never again. The smell was evil. Mind you-it wasn't heated, maybe that makes a difference.
Smile, it confuses people.

I don't think so I remember the smell of my grandad heating soil, now that you come to mention it! AWFULL!

When I opened that site it looked like she had canned a very good looking ladies leg!
Did any others of you think that or am I just warped?

After another look I must agree... a lovely pair of pins. ;D ;D Just hope mine don't look like canned carrots ;D

What an unreal garden though! Why doesn't mine look like that?  :'( :'(
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

You can scour pots or scrub floors with it. Who says it's useless? You've just got your plot in the wrong place, that's all.
