The next two are in south west Scotland!

The first  Threave Garden is in Dumfries & Galloway and it is one that I haven't visited before.

It is a School for horticultural where the students get hands on experience by attending to the gardens between lessons.

I spoke to two are three of the students and they were grand lads & lassies. We shared quite a bit of knowledge together,they were interested in my practical experience and me their technical knowledge so between us it led to quite an enjoyable discussion.

Needless to say I placed a glowing report in the visitors book, justifiably I think when you see the gardens.

The other garden I visited was Culzean (pronounced Cul-lane) Castle.

I last visited this place around forty years ago and it hasn't changed a great deal since then apart from the fact that they have turned much of the grounds into a country park, plus the public can now get into the walled garden which was very nice!

The castle was used as secure quarters for General Eisenhower during the second world war.

The Fountain gardens haven't changed a bit since my last visit

I hope you enjoy part 2;

Threave Garden pictures- the Sitting Area and secret gardens and rock fountain- oh, to have such stone work! Just lovely. I'd  be happy having The Well even without water in it. And seeing the whole natural shape of the old trees that aren't cramping each other.  Thank you, TeeGee for posting these.

Is there still a campsite at Culzean castle? I stayed there as a child with my family.
