Our Spud Cup - I'm in the lead so far!

Earlier this year someone at our site suggested that we have a 'Spud Cup' competition with the money going to the British Heart Foundation.

We paid £1 for one potato and grew it on, away from any of our other potatoes.
Whoever had the heaviest yield from the one spud would be the winner. 

We have almost finished digging them up, and I am in the lead so far with 14lb 4oz.  I am amazed because I am useless at growing potatoes.  All the ones I planted in the ground just disappeared but this one, grown in a tub, has done well.
