Thanks to Jayb that I've got all these growing on lottie..and they are doing well..
Now, I assume that the harvest time is close.. ???..All the tops are still green and strong so those that I've planted in posts are lifted in GH for to grow bit more and the ulluco that is in ground has coldframe cover on...some of the ullluco has some tubers on surface..should I cover those/leave them be?
When do I dig the Yacon up? Those are almost 1 metre tall and looks like still growing..

Miles away fgrom Oca.... once a hard frost kills the tops give it at least 3 weeks before you dig them out, preferably a sbit more to be sure..... I'll try them again next year (last year was a bit of a bust, I didn't bother this year but have a volunteer so will go from there for next year....)

They all need a bit longer. Yacon will be forming some tubers but if you can leave it for longer they will form bigger roots. They can be lifted mid autumn after the frost has blackend the foliage. I store mine in just damp peat in boxes and they last for ages.

Oca and Ulluco are day length sensitive so are only now starting to tuberise, they need longer.  I usually look around Christmas time or the beginning of January. If your plants have been killed by an early frost don't remove the leaves and stems as the tubers seem to be able to draw on this to increase their size, as previously mentioned wait a few weeks to harvest.

Glad they are all doing well  :)

Ohh,,I'm really 'itching' for a tasting session..but I'll be a 'good girl' and let them be..and I might tuck those few surface tubers in too ::)
I'll be posting 'soon' what to do with them once I've got tons and tons to use up ;D ;)..
