Horrible strong gales today in lancaster, woke up to the telegraph pole in our street on the ground with wires everywhere, greenhouse listing at about a 60 degree angle and five panes out and the meter cupboard door of its hinges!

Filiping heck! says i !!! but hooray the fence i built and rebuilt after last lot of 80mphs winds is still standing.
Fortunately i can go back to bed today as no work , just hoping all the roof slates stay on as no money for big repairs  :-\

Hope everyone stays safe today

Flipping heck indeed :o It was rather noisy night around here and I've got plant pots blown all over the lottie ::) But so far so good, nothing drastic not broken or blown away.
I've had to ring our site secretary few times this morning about other people's damages..seen shed roofs blown off, part of the polytunnel plastic...not nice.
I hope it calm down soon..I'm not even attempting to go out if not necessary.

I've had two phone calls today one about a members green house frame rolling about and the other about my green house. :( :( :(

Been round and done what we can for both and collected numerous compost bin tops etc. and weighted them down.

On way back collected neighbours bins and blue recycling boxes and did same with them!
