Absolutely! I found them easy to grow. Start the seeds early and in a warm place (they may take a while to germinate) so the chilli's have plenty of time to get ripe and red.

Yes absolutely - I even had a few outside this year, brought them back in in October and sat them on my bedroom window sill and am still getting chillies from them now (very small ones mind). Grew Jalapeno and haberno (V hot) will try these and birds eye chillies next year :D

Oubykh I grew cayenne in grow bags on my sheltered balcony this year.

I have read on here that the hotter temp that they are grown in, the hotter the chillies end up being. Cayenne are supposed to be a lot hotter than Jalapeno, but mine ended up being pretty mild with just a bit of bite.

They were pretty easy to grow, apart from suffering from a few aphids.
Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.

Chillies are easy  ;D They like the same sort of conditions as tomatoes but are less picky, don't need pruning, often don't need staking and some varieties are compact enough to grow indoors near a sunny window.

If you are short on space "Thai Sun" or "Cheyenne" or "Bolivian Rainbow" make fab windowsill plants as they are small and compact. Some of the Aji varieties are relatively hardy (rojo and yellow) and are good outside in a patio pot. My favourites are Explosive Ember and Thai both will cope outside uncovered in the summer in a large pot.

As you can see I like chillies!
