Bay Tree

I have been told that there is a huge shortage of bay's due to the snow and has killed off a lot of young stock? has anyone else heard this and would you know where I can get a small bay from?

Well ours look a bit sick... lost top leaves but I'm sure we will be making some later in the season...  :)

I am going to have to cut mine right back poor old thing.  It got very severely frosted during the winter. 


I am optimistic that it will recover though.

Noticed a couple of days ago that mine appears to be dead  :-\

Mine is looking very sick, had it for many years, came as a cutting from my mothers garden.  There are a few greenish bits at the back where is was against an evergreen tree so I am hopeful.  If all else fails it might sprout from the roots. 

It is a terrible weed in parts of Turkey.

One of my bay trees looks VERY poorly!  Loads of brown leaves and the bark split some years ago. I have to admit that I'm not really expecting it to recover. A real shame as it's about 4foot tall.  I'll give it a feed and TLC and see what happens.

The other one looks happy enough though, if a little 'chilled' so finges crossed.

My fault, they just didn't get protected with enough fleece.   :'(
