I got a bargain packet though it has very few seeds in it.

But though I have nice little plants they have not produced a globe.   Has anyone grown these they are supposed to be white on the outside and a pinky red in the middle.  How long before they produce a globe.

Is it possible you have a "long" form?  :-\

Ben Acre

If they are these,  Mooli, they are very long & can weigh 500 gm or so!!

Pic hasn't worked.

Picture on the packet is a globe, they have now started getting flowers so I think that they are a failure.  Too hot, too dry.

They look lovely (on the packet!), so what a shame yours seem to be struggling.

Digeroo

I actually foudn I have another packet they were not very popular even at 50p.  I am a bit of a clot becuase I have just noticed they should be sown in May so perhaps March was a bit soon!!!

I will try again.

good to hear you get to have another go, reading the link it says you can over-winter them, something that always gets my vote!

thanks are for giving me laugh since bulbing or straight root is genetic not cultural

I grew mooli last year for the first time. i was amazed how big they grew. Don't think I sowed them until about July for the autumn/ winter. Very nice they were but need thinning to get full size. Slugs always ready to quality control for you of course.   ::)Will do them again this year but not for a month or so. Got to eat the little ones first and we need some raaaain!

When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.

Well I hope you enjoyed you grin..but that statement is not strictly true..
Often radishes fail to 'bulb' if the growing conditions doesn't meet their requirements.
What ever shape..long or round it just doesn't form and instead just thin inedible roots (for size) will form.
Dry conditions and/or over fertilization is usual reasons for that.
