E-BOOK QUESTION

the old eyes aint what they  should be, and i need to buy an e book reader, but have been told the books on line are not easy to download from the web , im no I-T expert so  I dont know? any one got one, and are they o/k.

Bought one for my other half, she's a very big reader. The books are so easy to download, if you buy one from Amazon, the account to download books is already set up for you. when the kindle arrives, you log onto your amazon account, enter a few details and then you're ready. You find a book you like on the amazon ebooks web site, click the download button, and it arrives onto your machine in seconds.

OH wanted a Kindle for his birthday but he found a free download on Amazon which gives him a bigger screen. The only problem is what the heck do I now get him for his birthday.
Look on Amazon for kindle then look for free kindle reading apps, then you can choose the option of downloading to a windows PC or a mac. OH says it works brilliantly on his lap top, but then he doesn't want to take it out with him.

I have to agree that the Kindle has made it really really easy to buy books online.
However I wish they would do something on price as piracy is going to be rife.  It's nuts that ebooks are as expensive as paper copies - sometimes even more expensive.
Ebooks are not exempt form VAT like paper books!

I love mine, apart from being short on my favourite authors( only have a couple as e books), easier for my manky hands to hold than a book and I can make the print larger if I need  :)

I love my kindle - it was a christmas present.  I've read so many books since then, probably more in the 5 months than the last 5 years !

It doesn't make your eyes tired, as it's not back lit, it's light, so very long books don't weigh a ton !

Books are very easy to download from Amazon. 

Hmm sounds like I'm a kindle salesperson  ::)
