Sadly i dont have 2 bowls i can do this in :( But might see if i can borrow some as i was planning on making the garlic spray for my cabbages and this will save me a lot of effort!

Perhaps a pan with well fitting lid might do.  Going to give this a bash some time to see.

You peel the garlic when making garlic spray? That's dedication.

not read the instructions very closely yet  :-\ :-\

I tried it yesterday with 2 heavy plastic bowls & it almost worked - I got lots of lightly bruised, half peeled garlic. Am wondering about using the bread kneading attachment on the Magimix.

I never use that much garlic at one time but when I want to peel one clove I just cut the root end off and lean on the clove with a heavy knife and the skin just comes away

Fantastic! Just wish I needed that much garlic all in one go, maybe garlic mash is on the menu tonight...

We tried it and it does work, but you need big bowls so lots of movement.

Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic come to mind ;D.

What about pickling/brining garlic cloves. I always fancied a go but couldn't be bothered to peel them all....til now  ;D

Anyone got a good recipe?

We've used Lazy Garlic for years.  This was my first year of growing my own, but we've failed to use many of them, because the lazy stuff is so much easier!  I could really do with a recipe for preserving it.  I now know how to peel them easily.  The chopper can dear with the chopping.  Hopefully there's an easy method to suit my lazy ways!  ;D

What is lazy garlic

Finely chopped garlic in white wine vinegar.  A teaspoon full = one clove.  Saves getting garlicky fingers.

After a bit of research I have found that I can finely chop my garlic in my chopper, pop it in sterilised jars, then cover it in white wine vinegar.  Obvious, I guess!  ;D

Cool thanks for the link.. Looks like you need the deep bowls for the garlic to have time to speed up before hitting the other side each time...
