A bit late but if there are any Londoners at a loose end today, maybe worth a visit.

Apple Day is a national event celebrating apples, orchards and local distinctiveness. It is a way of demonstrating in a fun and tasty way, the variety and richness that can be produced in a locality and how it is possible to affect change wherever you live, whether city, town or village.This is a free fun educational event in celebration of British apple varieties and a fun family day on the Farm.

There will be tea ,cakes,apple tasting, music,poetry,longest peel competition. Lutfun's delicious apple chutney & apple pressing demonstrations.

Sadly I got the email too late to change my arrangements for Sunday.  Souinded like an interesting event though.  I would have liked to have gone and supported it though as there aren't that many events like this in London.
