Is December 15 sowing time so that they start to show as the days start to get longer? (B........r Christmas that's what I look forward too ;D ;D ;D)
If not why that date?

#6
the Dec 15 date is for only the tomatoes for size.
that date is 8 weeks before Gordon graham planted his tomato plants outside in wall o waters in 1986. That year  he grew a record 53 foot long plant and set record of 7 lbs 12 oz for the biggest tomato.  5 people have come close by breaking the 7 lbs   but none have broken Grahams record for tomato weight.

the  San Marzano' get started Feb 1.
20 varieties of tomato  for eating get started Feb 15
the 1000 for may sale started Feb 25
As the other veg they have various sowing between Feb 1 and April 15 the frost date.
no green house just three  2 level light stands that hold 8 flats each.
