Can anyone give me the roughest idea of the central heating oil usage per week in a small, uninsulated 2 bed cottage at modest temperature?

I know, for instance, that a 2 oven AGA uses 40 litres.

Tim, we get through about 2600 litres per annum.  Ours is a large detached house with 15 rooms excluding landings.  We are very well insulated though.

My estimate for a two bedroomed, uninsulated cottage would be about 40 litres a week and that excludes the Aga.  I am surprised that an Aga uses so much oil but then I suppose it is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, whereas central heating is not used most of the summer and usually set to go off around 10pm unless it is severely cold.

Is it for your house and are you thinking of changing fuel?

Thank you so much for that, Pauline.

Daughter's cottage which she is letting.  No gauge on the tank, so we needed some idea as a start point.

Lucky you being insulated - ours is impossible to fix. And no central heating.
